"Amputation is not a loss... it doesn't represent a failure on the medical team's side. It's not an end. Choosing to approach the amputation in a way that facilitates better life for that patient is really important.
"Skydiving, in regard to being an amputee, is very much an equalizer. When I'm out there with a student or filming a tandem, you know, it just amazes me that I move the way I move in the sky. And that's amazing because a lot of my movement can be challenging."
Sky/Body is a project that aims to explore the intersection of disability and medicine. Through skydivers who have lived through physical and mental disabilities, Sky/Body hopes to shed light on the rich lives that patients have beyond the hospital and beyond their disability
